Urban Land Institute Advisory Services Panel Final Presentation
May 27, 2016 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am
A multidisciplinary team of experts selected by the Urban land Institute will present a resiliency strategy for the Arch Creek Basin area. The strategy will focus on building economic and environmental resilience in the face of climate change.
Arch Creek area was selected because it is economically diverse, includes numerous historical resources and is the possible site for future transit-oriented development. The area’s vulnerabilities to flooding, housing and transportation issues, and other risks from climate change are characteristic of other parts of the county making it a good case study for resiliency planning and the first Adaptation Action Area.
All are welcome to join this public presentation; please share widely! The Advisory Services Panel is offered through Urban Land Institute Urban Resilience Program, funded by the Kresge Foundation. RSVP here, and to learn more about the project, click here.
